YouthHack Fest: Women in STEM

It's YouthHack's birthday month! Join us as we celebrate our 2nd year through talks, workshops, and mixers! For July 9, our theme is WOMEN in STEM.

SPEAKERS:

Paraluman "Luna" Cruz of Altitude Games
"Luna Cruz is the Creative Director and Co-Founder of Altitude Games, a Manila-based studio creating original, free-to-play mobile games. She started as a game writer in 2002 as part of the pioneer team that released the first Filipino-made game. Before Altitude, she previously worked with Boomzap Entertainment, creating best-selling casual adventure franchises such as Awakening and Dana Knightstone. She has also taught game design and interactive narrative at De La Salle University.

Isabel Sieh of girlswillcode.com
"Isabel is a 12 year-old Grade 7 student who started teaching herself to code online when she was 10. She has learned HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Python. In her attempts to find a community of coders, she founded Girls Will Code as an after school activity. She loves reading, tennis, math and piano. She is part of serial entrepreneur group Sieh Sisters who won Best Booth in 2014 Kiddopreneur Bazaar. Their latest venture is a cotton candy rental machine. Last month she won a Star Wars costume competition where she incorporated an app on a cell phone on her R2D2 costume." (taken from https://pycon.python.ph/)
